Exploring Your Anatomy is an introductory, experiential workshop open to people of all physical abilities and levels of dance experience. We’ll introduce some basics about human anatomy by exploring subtle, simple and dynamic movement; reviewing anatomical images; writing and drawing about our experiences; and identifying the location, structure and function of muscles, bones, and more. Building from your experience of movement, the investigation of efficient use of the bones, joints, muscles and weight form the core of how we’ll re-discover our bodies. Exploring your anatomy will support discovering more awareness and freedom inside the body safely.Materials: comfortable clothes to move in, a notebook or journal and writing-drawing implement
